More than 4,000 committed HOBY volunteers plan and execute HOBY programs each year, serving both at the local HOBY affiliate level and on HOBY’s Board of Trustees. Due to the selfless efforts of volunteers and the contributions of generous donors, nearly 9,000 students participate in HOBY programs annually.

Becoming a member of the HOBY Ohio-West Junior Staff is a great way to keep passing the HOBY torch after your ambassador year. But to ensure we’ve got the best candidates for the job, there are a few things you’ve got to do:1. You MUST recruit at least ONE student to attend the seminar. This student can either be from your own high school or from a different school. Please contact Heather Wegener for high school contact information.
2. You MUST have at least 100 volunteer hours LOGGED on the HOBY International site by seminar time. If you don't know your log in information, contact Matt Lambdin at mattlambdin@hotmail.com.
3. You MUST raise $175 to cover your expenses while at the seminar. Please bring checks to the staff training on April 14. Checks may be made out to HOBY Ohio West.
4. You MUST be able to attend the mandatory staff training on Saturday, April 14th. You MUST be at the seminar from 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 6 until 6 p.m. Sunday, June 10.
5. You MUST register as an international HOBY volunteer. Click HERE! to register as a HOBY International volunteer (you will be redirected to www.hoby.org).
6. You MUST submit a HOBY Ohio-West staff application. Click HERE! to apply to be a member of the HOBY Ohio-West Junior Staff.
